I love this layered stamped vellum technique, taught by Jessica Witty in Summer Card Camp 2. My card was totally inspired by hers, but I used several Gina K. Designs images on mine. The bottom images were stamped on a piece of 5″ x 4-1/4″ Ivory card stock, and the other images were stamped on two pieces of vellum that were later attached to the Kraft card base with Scor-Tape (underneath the ribbon so you don’t see the adhesive).

It’s been years since I’ve made a background using the polished stone technique. Thanks to StampTV’s Saturday Live Chat & Challenge I dusted off my old silver ink refill bottle and went looking for cotton balls and rubbing alcohol. After I finished with the technique, I cut the paper with a Labels One Nestabilities die and adhered it to a white Decorative Labels One die-cut. The silver card base measures 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″ and both the butterfly and the sentiment were silver embossed.

Nineteen years ago, during our very short honeymoon in Middletown, Ohio, my DH and I really enjoyed the hot air balloon festival that took place there that weekend. We always think of hot air balloons on our wedding anniversary, which is why I used an image from the Up, Up, and Away stamp set on my card for him.
I used one of the Week 3 sketches from Summer Card Camp 2, and the first additional color combo that we were given on day 5. I dry-embossed the vellum cloud die-cut behind the balloon with the Cloudy Day embossing folder and added piercing along the edges of the card. The little red heart was covered with Crystal Effects and glued on top of a bow created with scrapper’s floss.

My aunt and uncle are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this month, so I thought a card with lots of hearts (including a big golden one) would be appropriate!
I was inspired by the embossed die-cuts Jennifer McGuire showed us on Week 3 Day 2 of Summer Card Camp 2, and I also used one of the sketches and the colors we’re supposed to be working with this week. The big jotted heart die-cut was covered with three layers of gold embossing powder, and the smaller hearts were cut out of white card stock which had been colored with purple inks and heat embossed with sparkle powder.

This was a neat technique on Day 5 of Summer Card Camp 2, taught by Cristina Kowalczyk. I stamped the sentiment first and filled in the rest of the panel by stamping the image from the Pretty Patterns set multiple times. I marked the squares I wanted to cut out with a little red X and colored in the other squares with the colors of the first additional combo. After cutting out the little mini windows with a craft knife I ran my black marker around the edges of each little square. The entire panel was adhered onto a red card base with mounting tape.
