Today marks the 99th anniversary of the first Electric Sociability Run, when 54 electric car owners gathered for a scenic drive through the parks of Washington, DC and enjoyed an afternoon picnic. My DH organized a similar event to commemorate the occasion, and I will be driving my little electric Think City to Rock Creek Park. Back in 1914, Mrs. R. B. Emerson won first prize in the sociabilty run (most of the drivers at the event were women). I just hope I don’t get lost!
I found this cool car image by Penny Black to make a few ‘thank you’ cards for the volunteers at the event. It sure looks like one of the vehicles they were driving 99 years ago.
Thanks for stopping by!

Looks like you guys had a great turn out. I love your card. Is it a die cut in the background under that great image.
