On April 10, 1983 eight enthusiastic bicyclists took off on an adventure of a lifetime: a bicycle ride from New York to California and back! Only three of them completed the journey (DH was one of them) and I made this card for them to commemorate their achievement!
I believe it’s the first time I’ve used this U.S.A. map stamp that I’ve had in my collection for years — I guess I was just waiting for the perfect opportunity to get it inked up. I colored it in with the colors of the T-shirts they wore on their trip: red, white, and blue. The bike image and die-cut are new, and I bought them pretty much for this occasion. It was wonderful not having to fussy cut those little bikes!
Thanks for stopping by!

Yikes, that is a heck of a trip. How long did it take them? Love that card and the bike is so cute. I was just looking at a video on Ellen Hutson about it. Great job! (All the way around)
