For Gina K.’s April Illustrator Challenge I let myself be inspired by this picture of a Dutch book of fairy tales by “Mother the Goose”. Fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, Puss in Boots, Little Thumbling, etc. were my favorites as a kid. I don’t think I’ve outgrown them yet!
I stamped the Inspiration Mosaic background with black VersaFine ink on Red Hot (looks much better IRL, but tough to photograph) card stock and clear embossed it. With the help of a Post-It® note, I masked off some of the sections and filled others with two images from the Picture It! set. The flowers were colored in with a white Sharpie. The goose from the new Spring Mix StampTV kit was stamped on white card stock and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment was gold embossed, to match the title on the red hardcover.
Thanks for stopping by!
