When I got my new Full Heart punch, I knew I wanted to try the “Punched Through” technique from the October/November 2008 issue of the Technique Junkie Newsletter with it. The colors I used on this card are from Kristina Werner’s latest Color Inspiration challenge (#42). Luckily I had three different kinds of Kiwi Kiss ribbon to fill the heart with: dotted ribbon from the Pig Tails Ribbon Originals, 5/8″ striped grosgrain ribbon, and Kiwi Kiss/Very Vanilla satin ribbon.
I punched the heart out of a 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ More Mustard square (just slide the paper all the way in and the heart will be nicely centered) and sponged Really Rust ink along the edge of the heart. Then I adhered the ribbons with Sticky Strip to the back of the card stock. This was matted onto Really Rust card stock and I added some piercing along the edges. Pretty late for a Valentine, but I’m sure I can find somebody who will enjoy receiving this card!
Thanks for stopping by!

Ohmigosh! Your card is just too stinkin’ cute! I haven’t seen this technique before, but I have this punch (and lots of others, but it is SO cute with this one). I will have to CASE your card sometime. Great job on Kristina’s color challenge too!
