I learned this very cool technique for making spiral pop-up cards at Stampin’ Up!’s convention in July, and I taught it at my stamp class last weekend. You should have seen the reaction when I showed the card we were going to make, and opened it up to let everybody see the inside:
I used vellum card stock for the spirals, and glued the stars to the vellum with Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive. The stamped star images (both big and small) are from the recently retired Classic Backgrounds set. I picked the colors from the Frosty Day Designer Series Paper that was used on the front of the card.
Everybody enjoyed making this nice flat, mailable birthday card with a fun surprise on the inside!
