I made this card earlier this month for a ribbon demo challenge on SCS, Tie One On. Having seen Kristina Werner’s Ribbon Weaving video tutorial, I thought I’d give that a try with Stampin’ Up!’s wonderful double-sided satin ribbon.
I laid six 4″ ribbons side by side on my grid paper to determine the size of the square piece of card stock that I would be adhering the ribbons to. Then I pretty much followed the instructions in Kristina’s tutorial. I adhered my ribbon panel to a Rose Red square with Sticky Strip.
With the help of the Punches Plus template, I pierced a large circle on Very Vanilla card stock. Then I stamped the image from the Sweet Stems set (available January 19, 2009) with black StazOn ink inside the pierced circle and punched it out with the 1-3/4″ circle punch. The coloring was done with Classic inks and a blender pen.
Thanks for stopping by, and Merry Christmas!
