I’m really lucky that there are several SCSers in my area who organize shoebox swaps on a regular basis. Today I’m attending one of CindyL’s famous shoebox swaps in Perry Hall, MD. This is the card I designed for my 30 fellow swappers.
The card base is a 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Sahara Sand card stock, folded in half. I stamped Birthday Hugs and Wishes with Chocolate Chip ink in the corner of a 5-1/4″ x 4″ piece of Old Olive card stock and added two silver brads matted with Baja Breeze card stock on the left hand side.
The striped Ski Slope Designer Series Paper piece started out as a 4-1/4″ x 4″ piece. I marked the back of the paper with a pencil at 1/2″, 1-1/4″, 2″, 2-3/4″ and 3-1/2″. Then I centered my slit punch at each one of these marks and punched the paper five times. I folded the edge with the half circles over and slipped in a small strip of Real Red card stock.
The Enjoy image of the Holiday Collection stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink on Glossy White card stock and punched out with the 1-3/4″ circle punch. I layered it on top of a red scalloped circle, and added a red star with silver brad mounted on top of a 1-1/4″ circle of Ski Slope paper.
Thanks for stopping by!
